Hi Camy, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?

I’ve always had an entrepreneurial mindset, but the business came about somewhat by accident. The idea for Suckle came to me after a frustrating experience while breastfeeding my son. It offers a design and function unlike anything else on the market. I knew that so many other moms would benefit from having a more comfortable and versatile solution to breastfeeding apparel. One of our key goals at Suckle is to help moms to breastfeed longer and happier!

What should our readers know about your business?
I can confidently say that Suckle breastfeeding tops are truly unique. I came up with the idea while breastfeeding my son. I was not able to find a breastfeeding top on the market that met all of my needs, so I knew I had to create the solution for myself and all of the other moms like me. When I came up with the idea, I realized it was special because I could not find anything like it on the market. This is what led me to pursue a patent which I received in 2021. The tops look like a classic and versatile top, but allow for quick and convenient breastfeeding anywhere, anytime. When in use, it also offers a built in cover so no other accessories are needed. Suckle combines amazing convenience with the softest and most luxurious fabric that is eco friendly. Additionally, the garments are cut and sewn in the USA in a factory with ethical practices and wages for its workers. Our mission is to create the most chic, comfortable, and high quality tops for breastfeeding moms.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people who have inspired me in my life and on this journey whether from interviews or books. I find great inspiration from successful mom entrepreneurs like Bethenny Frankel and Sara Blakely as well. There are countless sources of inspiration that I still come across every day. However, I probably have to give the biggest shout out to my husband who helps me to raise our beautiful children. Without breastfeeding them I would’ve never created this product. I would also be remiss in not giving a shout out to all the moms I have come across who continue to inspire and energize me with their love of this product.
